The fraternity is pleased to announce changes in alumni chapter dues. Previously, chapters were required to pay $15 per person in alumni association dues for all non-life loyal members.

The fee structure for alumni chapters now includes a flat, $250 franchise fee each year due March 15. Chapters will be invoiced on February 15. Additional changes include a charter fee of $250 for new chapters. The franchise fee for the first year of a new chapter is waived; however, chapters that close and subsequently re-open will be required to pay the charter fee plus the franchise fee in their first year.

As of August 8, 2009, members that join an alumni chapter will no longer be members of the Alpha Kappa Psi Alumni Association. The new changes are in an effort to improve alumni chapter operations by streamlining fee collection. The process has been simplified to include sending in roster updates only one time per year (by the March 15 fee deadline) as opposed to the three previously required updates. There will be no need to send in an update and payment mid year if new members join.

Additionally, the change will allow chapters to have and utilize more resources from dues on the local level. With the ability to keep more funds on the local level, chapters can in turn use this to enhance their programming.
