Heritage Center

In 1923, Alpha Kappa Psi became the first professional fraternity to have a headquarters facility, and since then, has moved from location to location as the fraternity grew. Today, AKPsi occupies a 9,400 square-foot building on Indianapolis' northeast side that serves as the headquarters for both the Alpha Kappa Psi Fraternity and Alpha Kappa Psi Foundation. The two corporations have been operating from the Heritage Center since April, 2005.

AKPsi Staff - Who Does What

Chief Executive Officer
Gary L. Epperson, CAE, Hoosier Alumni '92-Honorary/Life
Gary L. Epperson Gary is 1970 graduate of the University of Louisville. He has served as the Chief Executive Officer of Alpha Kappa Psi Professional Business Fraternity since 1992. Alpha Kappa Psi has 197 student and alumni chapters, a budget of $1,800,000 and a staff of eleven full-time employees. Prior to his appointment in 1992, he was the vice president and chief operating officer of a large social fraternity. Gary is also a member of the Indiana Society of Association Executives and served ISAE as president in 1997. In addition to his board service, Gary has served ISAE as chairperson of many committees and a member of the board from 1990 to 1998. Gary was selected the 1996 "Association Executive of the Year” by ISAE. A Certified Association Executive (CAE) since 1991, Gary has also served on the board of directors of the Professional Fraternity Association and the founding president of the Professional Fraternity Executives Association. Gary is also an active member of the American Society of Association Executives. He and his wife, Lou Ann, live with their three children on the northeast side of Indianapolis.

Chief Operating Officer, Alpha Kappa Psi Foundation

Jess C. LaNore, CAE, Purdue '00-Honorary/Life
Jess C. LaNore Originally from Seattle, Jess attended Washington State University in Pullman, Wa. After graduating with a BFA in graphic design and a minor in business administration in 1995, he moved to Indianapolis where he worked for Psi Upsilon Fraternity. In December of 1997, Jess joined the professional staff of Alpha Kappa Psi. He is an honorary member of the Pi Omega Chapter at Purdue University. As the COO for the Alpha Kappa Psi Foundation, Jess administers all programs of the foundation, including its annual fund and scholarship programs. He also serves as editor of The Diary of Alpha Kappa Psi and is an active member of the Fraternity Communicators Association where he is a past president. He is also a member of the Indiana Society of Association Executives. Jess received the Silver Distinguished Service Award in 2007.

Managing Director of Operations
Brian D. Parker, Indiana '93 Life
Brian D. Parker Brian, a graduate of the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University, was initiated into the Beta Gamma chapter in 1993. After a short time in the commercial banking industry, he joined the professional staff of AKPsi in June 1997. Brian started as an expansion coordinator before being promoted to the director of member services position in spring 1998. In February 2001, he accepted the position of senior director of finance & expansion. Brian currently serves on the alumni corp. board of directors for the Beta Gamma Chapter. Brian is originally from Fort Wayne, Ind., and enjoys watching IU basketball and spending time outdoors. He is an avid NASCAR fan and also enjoys spending time with his two cats and camping. Brian received the Silver Distinguished Service Award at the 2007 convention.

Jessica R. Seitz, Auburn '02 Honorary/Life
Jessica R. Seitz A native of Cincinnati, Ohio, Jessica graduated from Union College in Barbourville, Kentucky with a BS in Secondary Education, English and Drama. After moving to Indianapolis, Jessica joined the professional staff of Alpha Kappa Psi in 2000. She is an honorary member of the Mu Omega Chapter at Auburn University. As the Managing Director of Student Services, Jessica is responsible for planning all fraternity programs. These events include the Convention, College of Leadership, the Academy, the Case Competition and the regional Principled Business Leadership Institutes (formerly Success Institute). She is also responsible for managing the fraternity’s volunteer services. She and her husband, David, live with their two children in Fishers, Indiana.

Director of Chapter Services and Expansion
Jennifer L. Adamany, San Diego '05 Life
Jennifer L. Adamany Originally from Orange County, California, Jennifer graduated from USD in 2007 with a BA in Communication Studies (Media emphasis). Her BA degree includes minors in Business Administration as well as Theology & Religious Studies. Jennifer became a member of the Iota Tau Chapter in 2005, where she served as director of interchapter relations, director of marketing and as vice-president of membership. Upon graduation, Jennifer accepted the position of expansion coordinator and moved to Indianapolis to join Alpha Kappa Psi's Heritage Center Staff. Jennifer now acts as the director of chapter services and expansion where her responsibilities include assisting student chapters with their fraternal operations and overseeing the development of new collegiate chapters within the expansion program.

Director of Education
Amanda E. Koerth
Amanda E. Koerth As the Director of Education, Amanda works on Alpha Kappa Psi’s full-time staff creating and developing curriculum for Alpha Kappa Psi’s educational programming including Principled Business Leadership Institute (formerly Success Institute), College of Leadership, Road to Brotherhood, Pledge Education Program, and eLearning. She also oversees officer training as well as Regional Management Team training in addition to developing additional educational opportunities for Alpha Kappa Psi members. Originally from Wisconsin, Amanda grew up in Virginia where she attended her undergraduate university, James Madison University and received a BA in English. After graduation, she worked for her Fraterntiy, Zeta Tau Alpha, as a Traveling Leadership Consultation until she settled for two short years in Columbia, SC for Graduate School at the University of South Carolina. She received a Masters of Education with emphasis in Higher Education Student Affairs Administration before moving to Georgia to serve as the University of Georgia’s Panhellenic Advisor. Amanda moved to Indianapolis to work for Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity where she held the position of Assistant Director of Programs doing similar curriculum development and overseeing of programs as she does for Alpha Kappa Psi. In her free time, Amanda enjoys traveling, reading, cooking, and spending time with friends and family.

Director of Alumni Development
James A. Mayer, Ball State ‘03
James A. Mayer James is a 2004 graduate of Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana and initiated into the Upsilon Chi chapter in 2003. Before joining the professional staff of Alpha Kappa Psi, James worked in corporate training for a quality control service provider to the automotive industry. James continued to stay active with the fraternity by serving as the chapter advisor for the Upsilon Chi Chapter. As the director of alumni development, James works to support the fraternity’s alumni programs, including the Alumni Association and the expansion of alumni chapters. James also works closely with the Alpha Kappa Psi Foundation, providing opportunities for alumni to engage the fraternity through speaking and volunteer opportunities.

Director of Information Services
Daniel D. Mendoza, Miami '99 Life
Daniel D. Mendoza A native of Miami, Florida, Daniel joined the Beta Pi chapter (University of Miami) in Spring of 1999 where he served as Webmaster and Vice President of Membership. Graduating in December of 2000, with a Bachelors of Business Administration in Computer Information Systems, Daniel began working for Lucent Technologies. Serving the Latin American region, Daniel’s responsibilities included Supply Chain Management, Website and Database Administration. During that time, Daniel remained active within AKPsi, being appointed the Southeast Regional Manager of Membership. In November of 2002, Daniel joined the staff of AKPsi where his responsibilities include administration of the AKPsi website, database, network, and email system; and meeting the technology needs of all AKPsi events. During his tenure at AKPsi, he has attained his Masters in Business Administration from Indiana University.

Expansion Coordinators
As expansion coordinators, Michael and Tana are responsible for the development of new chapters on campuses across the United States and Canada. They both enjoy traveling for Alpha Kappa Psi and bringing the endless benefits of the fraternity to new campuses.

Tana M. Dippolito, Buffalo '06
Tana M. Dippolito Originally from Syracuse, N.Y. Tana attended The State University of New York at Buffalo and earned a bachelor’s of science in business administration, with concentrations in marketing and human resource management in 2009. While attending Buffalo, Tana was initiated into the Beta Iota Chapter in 2006. During her tenure as a student brother she served as pledge educator, VP of membership and VP of administration. She was also involved in the School of Management as a freshmen mentor and a volunteer for the Career Resource Center. Additionally, Tana worked on UB’s Freshmen Orientation team for two years and in the corporate office of Sub-Board I, Inc., a not-for-profit student services corporation, founded by UB students in 1970.

Michael C. Heer, Towson '06 Life
Michael C. Heer Originally from Maryland, Michael majored in business management at Towson University. He joined the Omega Kappa chapter in 2006 and served as chapter president, master of rituals, and pledge educator. Michael received the Bronze Distinguished Service Award in 2009. Michael has professional backgrounds in real estate development, property renovation, commercial lending, corporate team building and logistics coordination. Before transferring to Towson, Michael attended Anne Arundel Community College for theatre and voice performance, and the University of Maryland for business and real estate.

The Member Service Representatives are the "Voices of the Heritage Center." They are the customer service representatives who handle many day-to-day activities at the Heritage Center. The Member Service Reps can answer many of the general requests you may have.
