Board of Directors

The fraternity's board of directors is responsible for Alpha Kappa Psi's governance and oversight, strategic planning, policy establishment, budget approval and supervision of the Heritage Center (via the Executive Committee). It also serves as the supreme executive, legislative and judicial body of the fraternity during the interim between meetings of the Chapter Congress.

 

Chairman*
David A. Ralston, Richmond '94-Life (2011)
David pledged the fraternity in the spring of 1994 with the Delta Zeta chapter at the University of Richmond where he received a BS in Business Administration with a concentration in accounting (1997). David has volunteered for the Fraternity since graduation in various leadership roles. He was the chapter advisor at the College of William & Mary, then the Section Director of Virginia, and most recently the Mideast Region Director. Outside the fraternity, David works as the Controller for Key Construction Co. Inc., which specializes in bridge construction and road work. He previously worked in public accounting for a local CPA firm headquartered in Richmond, Virginia (Keiter, Stephens, Hurst, Gary & Shreaves, P.C.). He primarily worked with non-profits in various capacities including accounting and audit services, forensic/fraud investigations, and board advisory services. He is highly involved with the University of Richmond’s Greater Richmond Alumni Chapter, serving as chapter President. Previously, he served the Richmond Volleyball Club as the Treasurer and board member. Outside of work he plays volleyball, golf, and other sports. In 2005, he was named one of Virginia’s Super CPAs in the Young CPA category.

Vice Chairman*
Jeffrey A. Blade, Butler '84-Life (2012)
Jeff Blade joined The Steak n Shake Company based in Indianapolis as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer in March of 2004. Since joining, Jeff has been focused on leading transformational change and participating in the development and implementation of the Company’s strategic plan. He currently has functional responsibility for the Finance, Information Technology and Supply Chain organizations. Prior to joining Steak n Shake he was Vice President of Finance at Cott Beverages USA, a division of the Cott Corporation. He joined Cott in 1999 as part of the executive team that led a successful turnaround effort of this $1.0B+ publicly traded company. This included transformational change of the finance organization to develop a team capable of being business partners in driving the initiatives of the organization. Jeff also spent 11 years at Kraft Foods in a variety of finance assignments working across the value chain, including Kraft foodservice, marketing services, field sales, operations & logistics and the corporate controllers group. He started his career at Price Waterhouse working in the Indianapolis and Chicago offices as a member of the audit practice. Jeff received a B.S. in Accounting from Butler University and an M.B.A. from Northwestern's Kellogg Graduate School of Management and is a Certified Public Accountant. He is active in Junior Achievement and serves on the Board of Visitors of the Butler University College of Business Administration.

Charles D. Steffens, Portland '87-Life (2010)
Chuck is 1989 graduate of the University of Portland. He has served Alpha Kappa Psi in multiple volunteer roles including District Director, Regional Director, and National Vice President since 1992. He was awarded a Silver Distinguished Service Award in 2002. Chuck has worked for Micron Technology, Inc since graduating, serving in a variety of positions, currently as a Systems Manager responsible for several key IT infrastructure environments as well as a project manager for several IT efforts. He resides in Boise, Idaho.

David M. Scholes, NYU '65-Life (2010)
As President and CEO of Targetbase, David has focused on driving bottom-line results for the company’s Fortune 500 clients through the identification of consumer insights that produce highly effective marketing solutions. Until his move to Dallas with his wife and two daughters in 2001, David was on the Board of Overseers for CARE, the worldwide aid and development organization. He is currently on the Board of Governors of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra. He is past Chairman of Direct Marketing Day in New York, is a frequent speaker at conferences, and in 2000, he received the prestigious Power of Communications Award from the Association of Graphic Communications.

Michelle D. Baker, Florida '91 (2010)
Michelle Baker specializes in business strategy and business transformation with more than fifteen years of financial, strategic and business development experience across both large corporate and small business environments. In her current role at Coca-Cola, she is responsible for the design, implementation and continuous improvement of The Coca-Cola North America management routines and performance management processes. This role includes the development and assessment of business strategies and scenarios to achieve strategic goals; alignment of strategies and goals across the organization; and establishment, tracking, and communication of performance targets to evaluate the business performance against organizational goals. Michelle holds an Executive MBA from Emory University, a Bachelor of Science in Finance and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Florida. She currently resides in Douglasville, GA with her husband and two daughters.

Anthanette M. Fields, Fordham '94-Life (2011)
Anthanette Fields (Toni) is a licensed attorney with a masters in business administration. Toni pledged the fraternity in the Spring of 1995 with the Epsilon Psi chapter at Fordham University where she majored in international finance. She received her juris doctorate degree from the University of Miami and her masters in business administration from Loyola Marymount University. Her business, AMF Management, focuses on helping entertainers control and manage their various business ventures to maximize revenue. Toni is an avid runner and snowboarder, as well as a triathlon and marathon enthusiast. She dedicates her free time to leading humanitarian aid missions trips to Guatemala and Africa.

Jennifer H. Kuhn, Colorado '99-Life (2012)
Jennifer Kuhn pledged the Gamma Zeta Chapter at the University of Colorado at Boulder in 1999, where she earned her degree in Business Administration. She has held the positions of Chapter Advisor for the Gamma Zeta Chapter, West Central Regional Director, Fraternity Vice President and was on the CAB (Chapter Advisory Board) taskforce to implement the new plan. After college, Jennifer worked for Enterprise Rent-A-Car in their management development program throughout the Boulder-Golden, Colorado areas before moving back to her home city of Buffalo, NY. She is currently working in her family’s business, Hamburg Overhead Door, Inc.-the largest garage door company in Western New York. She plans to take the business over one day for her parents. In addition to the volunteer work she does for Akpsi, Jennifer is also on the board of directors for the Southdown’s Builders Association and the Hamburg High School Finance Academy. In her spare time, she enjoys skiing, sailing, playing softball, attending Buffalo sporting events and riding her Harley Davidson motorcycle.

Gregory M. Sottolano, American '96-Life (2011)
Greg began his membership in AKPsi in 1996 as an undergraduate at American University. After holding a variety of undergraduate leadership roles, he graduated with a BSBA in international marketing and international human resources. Since then, he has served the fraternity as chapter advisor for Gamma Chapter (Northwestern University), Midwest regional director and is honored to be a member of the board of directors. Professionally, Greg has worked with the Corporate Executive Board, in the start-up industry during the dot-com boom and spent 10 years at McDonald's Corporation in a variety of human resources roles, including two years leading their human resources function in Japan and most recently, two years as HR director for their worldwide operations function. He is now responsible for international human resources at Gensler, the world's largest architecture and design firm. He is passionate about developing people and talent in all aspects of their life, professionally and personally. Along with being a recent transplant to San Francisco, and exploring his new city, he enjoys doing a little bit of everything from traveling around the world to skiing, running, sailing and most importantly, spending time at home with his partner and family.

Alexis P. Perdomo, CPA, Florida International '92-Life (2012)
Alex Perdomo is a founding member of the Xi Sigma Chapter at Florida International University, where he received a Bachelor of Accounting (1992), Bachelor of Business Administration (1992) and a Master of Science in Taxation (1994). Alex was also a founding member of the Florida Gold Coast Alumni Chapter (1994). He has held various positions within his undergraduate and alumni chapters, including President of both chapters, and is currently active with his alumni chapter. Additionally, Alex has served the Fraternity as Regional Director for the Southeast Region, President of the Alumni Council, Chair of the Foundation's Alumni Task Force, Sectional Director of Florida for the Southeast Region, and Secretary of the Foundation Board of Directors. He was awarded the Chairman's Award in 2001 and a Silver Degree Distinguished Service Award in 2002. Currently, Alex serves as a member of Fraternity Board of Directors and Chapter Advisor for the Xi Sigma Chapter at Florida International University. He is a Certified Public Accountant and is employed as a Principal Rate Analyst with Florida Power & Light Company, an electric utility. Outside of the Fraternity, Alex coaches two youth (U12 & U10) soccer teams with the West Kendall Optimist Soccer league, serves as a member and past president for the Kiwanis Club of Westchester, a member and past president of the Board of Trustees for the Sigma Phi Epsilon Florida Nu Chapter Alumni Association, and a member of the Association of Fraternity Advisors.
