Alpha Kappa Psi awards are an opportunity. It is an opportunity to provide thanks to those volunteers who have served your chapter. It is an opportunity to create positive public relations and certain media attention. Most importantly, it provides an opportunity to create strong, lasting relationships. Because many of our awards can recognize both members and non-members, chapters can use award ceremonies and banquets to spotlight accomplishments of brothers and non-brothers while spreading good will throughout the university and/or community. A strong chapter can build relationships with members of your local community with the Civic Service Award or Alma Mater Award. The Scholarship Award allows AKPsi to reach out to the entire student body while recognizing the member of the senior class who achieved the highest grade point average. Honorary and Faculty memberships have historically provided a way for chapters to recruit and recognize instructors and community leaders who serve as volunteer advisors. The possibilities are endless! Get creative and work to develop an awards program that will become a tradition not only in your chapter but in the community. Convention and Annual Chapter Report Awards
Convention Awards and Annual Chapter Report> Awards (ACR) are automatically calculated by the Heritage Center. There is no application process; ACR awards are given out at Convention (during Convention years) or at the Principled Business Leadership Institute (on non-convention years) and Convention awards are special only to Convention. Fraternity Awards – Chapter Competition
Alpha Kappa Psi encourages its chapters to excel in everything they do. From recruitment to pledge programming, from professional events to service projects; AKPsi chapters execute with excellence. The Fraternity Chapter Awards are designed to recognize those chapters who stand out for their programming and events. Applications properly submitted by the deadline will earn a chapter 1,000 points on the ACR. Fraternity Awards - Collegiate
Alpha Kappa Psi not only encourages its chapters to excel but also promotes advancement for its members. Some of the best student leaders on today’s campuses are in Alpha Kappa Psi. The Collegiate awards are designed to recognize those members who are outstanding in their own chapter, on their campus and in the community. Alpha Kappa Psi alumni and volunteers are vital to the overall success of not only local chapters but the fraternity.Every year AKPsi alumni give of their time, talent and treasure and should be recognized for their critical contribution. Alpha Kappa Psi encourages excellence in both student and alumni chapters. The Alumni Chapter Awards are designed to recognize those alumni chapters excelling in the areas of B.L.U.E. Local Chapter Awards
Awards given at the chapter level are just as important, if not more important than those given at the local and fraternity level.Recognition of a job well done is always a driving motivator for one to maintain their performance.Each chapter should be giving out awards on a regular basis, whether it is weekly, monthly or at the end of the academic term at a Yellow Rose or Sapphire banquet.Awards not only recognize those who have made a difference in the chapter, but awards also inspire other members in the chapter to perform at a higher level. Distinguished Service Award
The Alpha Kappa Psi Distinguished Award (DSA) is the most prestigious award conferred upon our brothers.To be recognized with a DSA, the member must performed praiseworthy service to the chapter, region or fraternity and be in good standing. Faculty and Honorary Membership
Faculty Membership is conferred upon individuals in the university community who have made significant contributions to the study of business or to the chapter. Honorary Membership is conferred upon individuals who have achieved prominence and made significant contributions to the community or chapter.
